Next Srùbag No. 52 – Cèilidh Seinn na Gàidhlig – Gaelic Song Ceilidh – SUNDAY 2 March 2025 7.30-9.30pm UK / Ireland time.

We are delighted to invite you to our next and 52nd Srùbag, which is part of Seachdain na Gàidhlig.   Our special Guest is Anne Dunne, who will sing songs in Irish.  As well, we will have the usual participatory singaround – songs in Scottish and Irish Gaelic, Welsh and Breton please!  All are welcome to join us to sing a song or to listen!

Anne has been singing all her life, and started taking an interest in traditional and folk singing in the 1980s. With her sister, Niamh Parsons, Anne joined the Góilín singing club in Dublin and met many distinguished singers and musicians. Anne recorded several songs with Niamh on three of her albums. In school they had learnt a lot of the well-known Irish songs, and met and learnt from singers from the Irish speaking parts of Ireland (the Gaeltachtaí). Anne has been singing more and more songs in Irish in singing clubs and online and is delighted to be singing for Srùbag.
