Next Srùbag No. 46 – Cèilidh Seinn na Gàidhlig – Gaelic Song Ceilidh – Friday 7 June 2024 7.30-9.30pm UK / Ireland time.

We are delighted to invite you to our next and 46th Srùbag.   Our special Guest is Tanya Nic Gairbheith, who will sing songs in Irish.  As well, we will have the usual participatory singaround – songs in Scottish and Irish Gaelic, Welsh and Breton please!  All are welcome to join us to sing a song or to listen! 

Tanya Mc Garvey is a primary school teacher. She lives in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, Ireland but grew up in the Irish speaking area of Gweedore. Throughout her primary and secondary school years she participated in music and recitation competitions, drama and cabaret. She has been a member of a church choir since the age of 12 and is currently a member of a traditional Irish choir ‘Cór Thaobh a Leithid’ under the direction of a renowned local singer, Doimnic Mac Giolla Bhríde. The choir had the pleasure of participating in the Lorient Music Festival a number of years ago.
