Next Srùbag No. 58 – Cèilidh Seinn na Gàidhlig – Gaelic Song Ceilidh – Friday 7 August 2026 7.30-9.30pm UK / Ireland time.
We are delighted to invite you to our next and 58th Srùbag. Our special Guest is Anne Coleman, who will sing songs in Scottish Gaelic. As well, we will have the usual participatory singaround – songs in Scottish and Irish Gaelic, Welsh and Breton please! All are welcome to join us to sing a song or to listen!
Anne Coleman was born in Glasgow and spent her early childhood on the Isle of Arran. She now lives near Dunoon in Argyll. Anne has been singing since she was five years old, with the Scottish Junior Singers and later the Scottish National Chorus. She now sings with Cowal Gaelic Choir and performs with Sgioba Luaidh Inbhirchluaidh, demonstrating the hand-waulking of cloth and singing the waulking songs. She started learning Gaelic in her teens at a lunchtime class in Glasgow and now, in her 70s, is studying for a double honours degree at UHI in Highland Culture and Heritage with Gaelic.
